WaterBlading at Jim Hogg Park

LOCATION:Georgetown, TexasDATE: 9/22/2016 12:00:00 AM

Jim Hogg Park is located just one hour outside of Austin , Texas. With a beautiful view of Lake Georgetown, this seems like the perfect place for g reat scenery. I arrived and noticed that there was plenty of parking and restrooms available, which is a plus for any outdoor park. I parked my car and wandered around to find a place to set up my Stingray. Jim Hogg park has to docks that stretch into the lake for a perfect drop off point for The Stingray. Unfortunately, due to heavy rains the wal kway leading to the docks was submerged by water, so I opted to just take advantage of the boat ramp. I loaded up my Stingray and was quick into the water. With so much ope n area to take advantage of, this is the perfect spot for multiple Stingrays to cruise around wit hout being too close to each other. With it being so close to the boat ramp and boats loading and unloading, there was a few waves that had me catching myself from falling a few times. Aside from almost falling, this spot had a few coves where there was a lot of great scenery to look at . I am sure if there was access to the docks it would have m ade for an even better Waterblading day. All in all Jim Hogg Park is perfect sp ot for a Waterblading day.

Lake Woodlands, TX

LOCATION:Lake Woodlands, North Shore Park. TX.DATE: 9/22/2016 12:00:00 AM

Lake Woodlands North Shore Park.
During the time I was Creating WaterBlade, there was no limits when, at what time or under what weather conditions I needed to test a prototype, normally after midnight since i needed to hide from public during the patent process. Even cold winter was not enough to make me postpone a prototype's test.
Nowadays we, the WaterBlade team, we learn to enjoy any weather condition while testing. WaterBlade is Awesome !

League City Boat Ramp and Park

LOCATION:League City Boat Ramp and ParkDATE: 1/29/2017 12:00:00 AM

Very Cool Place for WaterBlading. Even the water was still cold, we had to try this location, Turned out a very good place, It has 2 Ramps to access, the water was deep enough, we just needed to follow the floating marks in the middle, we learned from a fisherman those floating marks are meant to show to people in boats where is the deeper part of the channel. It was very good. Not too much current. It was great. My only wish as always is, if the water was blue and transparent, rather than dark and gray color.
Anyway, it was cool.

WaterBlading at Fisherman’s Cove

LOCATION:Willis, TXDATE:

Fisherman’s Cove Willis, TX On my journey to find the best spot on Lake Conroe for Waterblading, I found Fisherman’s Cove Lakeside Resort. Nestled on the Northeast side of the lake in a secluded cove on Farm Road 1097. The first thing that caught my eye was the small cabins they have strategically placed just walking distance from the lake. I loved how it was hidden in a quiet part of Lake Conroe. I have recently discovered that this is one of the most desirable locations on the lake for fishing, since most of the boat and watercraft traffic occurs on the southern end. Needless to say, they do offer jet ski and boat rentals for the watersport enthusiasts. Also included is a fishing shack, that has endless supplies needed to have a nice relaxing fishing day with the family while riding your Motorized Stand-up Fishing Paddle Board by Waterblade. Included in the Fisherman’s cove is a clubhouse that has a theatre room, pool table, swimming pool, and volleyball court, also a full kitchen and bar perfect for entertaining friends. After a full day of Waterbalding and fishing on the lake you can come back to a relaxing environment and watch the sunset while grilling burgers from the comfort of your own kitchen. The best part about Fisherman’s Cove is that it isn’t surrounded by homes, you get your own little cove of the lake surrounded by trees and beautiful scenery, it truly is the perfect Waterblade weekend getaway.

WaterBlading at Forest Park: Bouyancy Test of Eagle

LOCATION:Lake Conroe Forest ParkDATE:

Lake Conroe Forest Park Montgomery, Texas On my expedition for the perfect WaterBlading spot, I discovered a small park inside a neighborhood called Lake Conroe Forest. Located just off highway 105 in Montgomery,Texas. I found this park as I was driving and noticed a small cove with a park and boat ramp, so I decided to check it out. When I got to the park I noticed how kid friendly it was, I had a swing set and small playground perfect for entertaining the kids. Also a small boat ramp into the lake. I also noticed fisherman on the far right end of the park. Which was perfect evidence to me that it would be the perfect spot for fishing off your WaterBlade SUP Board. There were small and large lake birds around the area, giving the park a very good feel of nature. I found this park to be a very relaxing and welcoming place for a WaterBlade day, with entertainment to keep everyone happy.

WaterBlading at Scotts Ridge

LOCATION:Montgomery, TX 77356DATE:

Scotts Ridge Montgomery, TX/ Willis, TX I have recently discovered Scott’s Ridge while boating on Lake Conroe and noticed the pavilions and swimming area from a far. It looked very nice and clean, almost too good to be true, so a week later I decided to check it out and see what it was all about. When I got to Scott’s Ridge, I realized that is is located in the Nation Forest and very secluded, which I loved. There is an entry fee of $5 per car. Which is nothing when you realize how nice and relaxing the place is. First I checked out the boat ramp and fishing area. There were many fisherman sitting on the dock and plenty of room for a good amount of people without seeming too crowded. Also many boat trailers in the parking lot, hinting that this is definitely the popular spot for fishing. It was very quite and peaceful. It seemed like the perfect spot to take advantage of Waterblade’s Fishing SUP. Next I checked out the swimming area. I arrived and the first thing I noticed was large covered pavilions and restrooms. This place was perfect for a Waterblading day at the lake, with barbeque pits and picnic tables spaced around the park. Plenty of room for everyone. I also found a few picnic tables spaced away off the beaten path for those people that are wanting to be hidden away from the rest of the crowd. They even had a deck which was perfect for easily dropping in your StingRay and cruising around the area and exploring what the park has to offer. I would definitely take advantage of Scott’s Ridge on my Waterblading days.

WaterBlading at Lake Mead Marina

LOCATION:Las Vegas NVDATE: 2/20/2015 12:00:00 AM

Lake Mead offers year-round recreation in spectacular scenery with amazing opportunities like boating, fishing, hiking, picnicking and now Waterblading. Lake Mead is home to a great amount of desert plants and animals that have adapted to little rain and high summer temperatures. We love to hop on our Waterblade and cruise around in this lake through the hot summer days. Because of Lake Mead’s broad expanses of water, water skiing, kayaking, and canoeing are also among the favorite activities at the lake. I so enjoy how Lake Mead National recreation area provides shaded picnic areas with all the necessities to have a great day at the lake, including tables, water, fire grills and restrooms. It makes my day at the lake so much fun. Driving the several paved roads winding through a unique desert scenery of mountains, plateaus, and basins of cacti is so relaxing and beautiful. We had the best day at Lake Mead grilling burgers by the lake, watching the sunset, playing with the ducks and riding our Waterblade. Absolutely beautiful!
